Palm’s Thai Restaurant - Hollywood, CA

A few weeks ago, I tried Palm’s Thai Restaurant in Hollywood for the first time. When it comes to Thai food, I have to admit, I can be a little picky. I tend to stick to what I know and what I like, and if the spot doesn’t do it right, chances are I won’t be back.

I will be back to Palm’s Thai Restaurant.

Lately, it seems like the ATTIC crew has their hands in a little bit of EVERYTHING. From cars/DUB Magazine to The Game/Black Wallstreet and now, with the NFL season in full stride, they present the Shaun Phillips Project. An awesome collaborative project for a great cause. For all you Shaun Phillips/ Chargers fans, snapback addicts, and even those of you in a charitable mood that missed out on your Nike Mag’s, I think you can afford these.

Memories of Sneaker Pimps

With Sneaker Pimps LA just around the corner, I couldn’t help but reminisce about the first Sneaker Pimps I went to back in the early/mid 2000s. Sneaker customization was huge, artists like Futura and Dave White were blowing up, and Biz Markie was the headliner. It was a much simpler, but very exciting time to be into sneakers back then. It was a great era for sneakers and the culture. Times may have changed, and the culture has changed as well, but the love for sneakers is still the same. Make sure to check it out if you’re in the LA area on September 3. Who knows maybe in 10 years you’ll be ranting on your blog about how much better it was 10 years ago…Full flyer after the jump.

Umami Burger - Los Angeles, CA

After stopping by RIF this weekend, there was no question that I was going to hit up some good eats in LA right after. And after some debate, the homie and I decided to put all of this Best Burger in Amerca talk to the test. Of course, I’m referring to Umami Burger. And to be honest, Umami is serious. Best burger in America?? Probably not. But I appreciate the thought that went into the food and the freshness of the product. I tried the signature Umami Burger and it was delicious. I wasn’t exactly feeling the $11 price tag considering the portion size, but it is what it is. Maybe not the BEST burger I’ve eaten, but it is definitely up there.
