“Just as underground artists are important to music, Corgishoe is that to the sneaker ‘community.’ Huge in his own right, but unbeknownst to the masses. Whether he likes it or not, or even realizes it, Corgishoe has become an icon to sneaker lovers, representing, what I consider, everything that is pure about sneaker collecting…”
Just a normal guy that loves sneakers, Corgishoe was kind enough to do this interview for Food With Sole that covers everything from his dogs (of course), cold tofu, Holy Grails, and the Shoezeum. Hit the jump for the full interview and bask in the mystery that is Corgishoe.

Many consider it their Holy Grail, others may think of it as unattainable. If you’re someone that’s itching to get your feet in a pair of these UNDFTD x Air Jordan IV’s, my good friend Shoe Wolf is officially selling his personal pair. SIZE 12 $3850 9/10 Condition. Email all inquiries to ShoeWolf@gmail.com. Don’t sleep. This may be your last chance to get your hands on a pair.

Carnitas Torta
Being the food/sneaker lover that I am, I always try to be open-minded and appreciate everything, so I find it really hard to call out anything specific as “the best” or “my favorite.” However, Cancun Juice in Anaheim, CA made me think twice about 1 thing. Tortas! These were hands down the best tortas I’ve ever eaten. The carnitas was by far my favorite, but I also tried the turkey (good) and the cubano (better).

You’ve known what it is for months now, and the release is finally here. Saturday, July 23, the “Space Jam” Dunk Low will officially release at select Nike SB retailers, including BTNC, in Fullerton. For those of you that can’t wait to get your hands on these, Brooklyn Projects, Melrose will release them TONIGHT at 12:01am for $129. Don’t sleep.

In collaboration with DJ Mars, New Balance has launched the “Where Are You Running To?” Campaign, which includes a microsite that features some of the most notable DJ’s in the music industry, including Mars himself, Don Cannon, and Rich Medina. The site includes videos, bios, and features of their custom New Balance designs. Go!!

Typically I wouldn’t do a post on a Streetwear brand’s sneakers, but this release just seemed so fitting. If there’s one thing The Hundreds knows, it’s how to drop an exclusive release. And with only 100 pairs manufactured, I’m sure the lineups will start early. Available online at Midnight on July 17, with in-store releases beginning at noon. Free t-shirt with purchase, and FREE Ice Cream In-Store ALL DAY.

In the past year, Undefeated has released a bunch of great collaborations, and this one is no different. This pack follows the same familiar military inspiration as the Poorman’s Weapon Collection. However, this time around, they utilize ballistic nylon throughout the Star Player High, Academy Low, and the matching A.L.I.C.E. backpack. The UNDFTD x Converse Ballistic Navy Capsule Collection will release this Friday, July 15 at all UNDFTD chapter stores and online. Don’t sleep.

For those of you that missed out on the limited edition Kobe x Koston 1’s back in May, this general release edition of the shoes will be available this Friday, July 15 at select Nike SB retailers, including Primitive in Encino. Don’t sleep.

South Coast Plaza is not only home to the most recent addition to the Foot Locker House of Hoops family, but also a plethora of upscale stores and restaurants. Typically, I try to avoid restaurants like this because the service/quality of the meal tends to not live up to the cost or hassle. However, this was not the case at AnQi. I enjoyed everything I ate here, and wish I could’ve tried more. Besides the fact that they didn’t have any beers on tap, and the fact that it seemed like everyone, besides me and my friends, were wearing bedazzled foiled t-shirts and boot cut jeans, the overall experience was great. Definitely a must try if you’re in the OC area. Hit the jump for food pics.

I’m sure all of you understand the excitement that comes along with getting one of these packages at your door. What made this time feel even more special was that I wasn’t expecting it. The homie Rachel at Nike Sportswear sent me a nice little surprise that made my week. The box turned out to contain the Stussy x Nike Sky Force 88 Mid that releases today. I was amazed at the quality of the shoe along with the amount of detail that went into it. Check out the full feature after the jump!

Well, maybe not exactly the Catalina Wine Mixer, but a trip to Catalina Island none the less. Over the weekend, I took a day trip to Catalina with some fam. Rode a boat, soaked in some sun, went exploring in a bootleg-back-alley-special golf cart (don’t ask), and just enjoyed life. Check out some pics after the jump.

Yes, that’s butter on the steak. That’s just how we roll…
Ahh the 4th of July. The official day of barbeque, booze, and fireworks. Hit the jump to see how Food With Sole grills it up (LAXtoJFK would be proud). I hope all of you had a fun/safe weekend. If you have any pics of your 4th of July BBQ’s submit them via twitter or email to get featured on the site!

The second store I hit up over the weekend was Footage, which is literally right across from BTNC. SO MANY SHOES IN THERE. I could’ve been in there for hours just basking in it. Good people at both shops. I will always appreciate and support real genuine people. Full Features on both stores coming soon. Enjoy the rest of these pics for now, and if you’re ever in downtown Fullerton make sure to stop by. Tell ‘em Food With Sole sent you!

This past weekend, I was in Orange County, and finally made some time to check out 2 of the most underrated sneaker shops in Southern California. Of course, I’m talking about BTNC and Footage in downtown Fullerton. Both of these shops deserve their own separate, full, quality Features in the near future, but in the meantime here are some pics I took from the weekend. BTNC pics after the jump.
Juice County Part 2 - Footage will be posted tomorrow.
