Dom Kennedy may have said it best,
“Check 1, Check 2, damn, I’m really makin’ moves/ Don’t nothin’ go better than a taco and a brew”
Homemade carnitas tacos, cold beer, new Dom Kennedy album. Looks like it’s going to be a good summer in LA…

Eat Good. Stay Fresh.

This passed Friday, I went with CAPTAIN CRUNCH down to RIF, so he could pick up a check and drop off some more inventory. If you’ve never stepped foot in RIF, it’s like being a kid with a sweet tooth in a candy store. Even if you’re not hungry, you’ll find something you like. That’s how I felt when I came across these, “Supreme” Nike SB Dunk Low Pros. Priced at less than 1/2 of what most places are selling them for, I knew I how good of a deal it was.

On June 23, a food blogger in Taiwan was sentenced to 30 days in jail, along with 2 years probation and a fine of 200,000 New Taiwan Dollars, for writing a negative review of a restaurant in Taichung, Taiwan. It’s not uncommon to see libel charges against critics in the US. However, you rarely, if ever, see this harsh of a punishment. Could you imagine? Our jails would be filled with Yelpers. God bless Amerrica.

Eat Good. Stay Fresh. Run Fast?

Finally! After years of searching through Corgishoe’s site on the daily, and seeing tons of shoes I want come and go, I decided to make my first official purchase. For those of you that just recently got into this madness some like to call the “Shoe Game,” these are from a time long before week-long lineups and “limited” releases, and when the only things limiting you from getting the shoes you want were your passion and hunting skills. Hit the jump to see detailed pics of a shoe you’ll see less of than a pair of UNDFTD IV’s.

There are few things as enjoyable as chicken wings and cold beer. If you’ve never tried the Lemon Pepper Wings at Wing Stop, please do yourself a favor and click here to find the closest one to you, and indulge yourself today. You’ll thank me later.

$10 for $20 Worth of Authentic Indian Fare and Drinks at The India’s Tandoori in Burbank

Believe it or not, I recently came across this pair from the Supreme x Vans x Mike Carroll Collection at a local Nordstrom Rack for $30. I’ve been looking for a new pair of Vans for a while now, so why not make it a Supreme collab.
Check out what’s cookin’ after the jump!

Recently, I’ve been on a movie rampage at the theatres, watching everything from Hangover II and Pirates of the Caribbean to X-Men: First Class and hopefully, Super 8 this week. And of course, with movies comes the hot butter on what, the what, the popcorn (Although, I prefer Kettle Corn). I hope all of you are enjoying all of the Summer movies as I have, and even though it can be expensive, don’t be afraid to indulge at the concession stand. It’s all part of the experience. It wouldn’t be a trip to the movies without dropping a $20 on overpriced candy and soda.

Movie sneaker shot after the jump.

This past Friday, in celebration of their latest addition to the UNDFTD x Puma Clyde series, Puma and UNDEFEATED did a collaborative launch event called “24 Hours of Clyde” at 12 select sneaker boutiques across the country. I was fortunate enough to make it out the ATTIC release event in Buena Park, CA. Hit the jump for the full recap.

FINALLY put Five Guys to the test!
To be honest, I actually enjoyed it. And I can see how people might compare it to In-N-Out, but truly, it just doesn’t match up.
Full breakdown after the jump.
I used the following criteria to rate Five Guys as fair as I could: Burger, Bun, Toppings, Fries, and Price.
The Burger - I’ll admit, I had no idea about the menu before coming in, so when I ordered a cheeseburger and opened up that foil gift wrapping to find a DOUBLE Cheeseburger, I was pleasantly surprised! The patties were decent in size and juicy.
The Bun - This is one of the things that caught me off guard. I really enjoyed the bun here. Soft, smooth, and melts in your mouth.
Toppings - Mayo, Relish, Lettuce, Pickles, Tomatoes, Grilled Onions, Grilled Mushrooms, Ketchup, Mustard, Jalapeno Peppers, and the list goes on. All FREE.

Fries - They serve a natural cut fry (with the skin on), which I’m not a huge fan of. However, They do get Bonus points for supplying FREE peanuts!
Price - This is what killed it for me. I ordered a Cheeseburger (Really a Double) with Regular Fries and a Drink and it cost me just under $12! If you’re an In-N-Out fan, you’re probably going nuts right now, I know I did when I paid for it. On a recent visit, I ordered a “Little” Cheeseburger (Single Patty) to help cut some of the cost down, and I felt like their just wasn’t enough burger for the bread+toppings, it’s not worth it unless you get the Double.

Overall, Five Guys makes a pretty good Double Cheeseburger, and if you don’t have an In-N-Out close by, it should suffice. However, if you’re not careful with what you order, a full lunch can hurt your pockets.

You know what it is. Air Jordan 3 Retro “True Blue.” Available at Jordan retailers on June 4, including all ATTIC locations! Retail price is $149.99. Go!!

As I was getting ready to drop a release reminder for the “Banned” Air Jordan 1 the other night, I found out the lines at most Outlets were already 20+ deep. It was pointless. The madness had begun. I never would have imagined people would camp out at a Nike Outlet. Hopefully, everyone that wanted a pair to WEAR was able to pick them up. Now, somebody please sell me a size 10-10.5 for retail.
Happy Huntings.
