I’m not a huge J. Cole fan, but this song is solid.

Some of you may know what Nutella is. You might have tried it in crepes or seen it used on Food Network. Kobe Bryant even used to endorse it. For those that don’t know, Nutella is hazelnut chocolate spread. I was first introduced to Nutella by my girlfriend, and it wasn’t in a crepe, and it wasn’t in some fancy Italian dessert. It was in its truest, rawest, and in my opinion, most delicious form. It was in a sandwich between 2 slices of untoasted white bread. You might be thinking, “What?! A chocolate sandwich?! That’s crazy!” Trust me, I thought it at first too, but if you do yourself the favor of actually trying one, it will definitely have you second guessing that peanut butter and jelly sandwich more than once.
What’s Needed:
•White bread
*Bread Recommendations
-Sara Lee “Soft and Smooth” Whole Grain White Bread
-Bimbo Bread
Trust.
•Nutella
•That’s it. Keep it classic.
Instructions:
DO NOT TOAST BREAD
1. Spread Nutella on 1 piece of bread.
*make sure to go all the way to the edges “There’s nothing worse than dry edges”
2. Cover with other slice of bread to complete sandwich
3. Enjoy. Thank me later.

The Air Jordan Alpha 1 has been both criticized and praised since its release earlier this year. You either love the idea of it, or you hate it, and bannish it to your ‘pass’ list with the likes of Team Jordans and Fusions. This shoe is definitely not for everybody. OG Jordan fans probably cringe at the thought of mid top 1’s with Jumpman symbols. However, I for one really like the Alpha 1, not just as a performance shoe, but just as a great concept. They took the most basic, yet iconic silhouette, and upgraded it to meet modern performance needs.
I recently took a trip to New York and chose the Alpha 1 to be my ‘go to’ shoe for the trip because of its comfort. The timing of my trip happened to end up falling on the weekend of one the most intense snowstorms New York has had all winter. Instead of doing the most logical thing and picking up a pair of snow boots for the trip, I stayed true to my Alpha 1’s and hoped for the best. I was pleasantly surprised at how durable and water resistant they actually were. Not only were my feet dry for the entirety of the trip (with 1 exception of stepping into a foot deep puddle), but they also made it back home to sunny Las Vegas with minimal creasing. So, after a trip to NY/NJ, countless miles of stomping through snow, and 1 thorough cleaning later, they are still in great condition and are definitely the best choice I could have made as a travelling shoe: comfortable, durable, easy to clean. Maybe that’s why I’m so fond of these shoes. What can I say? I’m loyal. I tested these shoes in the harshest possible conditions (not necessarily on purpose) and they came out with barely a scuff.
Air Jordan Alpha 1’s. Love ‘em or hate ‘em. You can’t deny them.

They’re delicious, they’re great
I’d eat them in the morning and even real late
After a club or on a lunch break
Even sometimes between naps
Who knew they’d be a perfect match?
Carne asada and fries from France
Top it guacamole and sour cream
Even with pico de gallo and cheese
Hold the beans please
They are indeed a special treat
These French fries covered with meat
Pick them up at any taco shop
Either Robertos, Allertos, or Albertos, you know the spot
It’s not the healthiest of foods
But is by far one of the greatest
I am forever grateful to the first person who made it
A true guilty pleasure that just feels so right
This is my Ode to Carne Asada Fries

I have been wanting to start a blog for some time now, and I was having a difficult time deciding what it should consist of. So, I started thinking of all the things I like to do: write, collect sneakers, eat, etc.
What can I say? I’m a simple man. After some brainstorming, I came to the obvious conclusion. Why not write about food and sneakers. And that is where I stand today, the first step in this crazy adventure we call blogging.
Along with my ramblings of food and sneakers, you may see the random post of my everyday shenanigans among other things that I might think are funny or interesting. My goal is that you might find this stuff interesting too, and maybe even relate to it or be inspired in some way.
With that said, I hope you’re hungry. This is Food With Sole.
